Things are Looking Up!

Yeah,  this is the best news we could have gotten today.  We got the notice this morning Monday 11/14 8:00am that we looked good so we were going to be heading up to the fourth floor with all the other ladies playing the waiting game with me.  So now longer would I be sitting in room 321 - here I come rm# 475.

Today has been a very quiet but busy day.  I just relaxed on my back as much as possible because they took all the monitoring off me and are changing it to every 8 hours - which is great news but also makes me nervous - it was calming hearing his heart beat all day knowing everything was fine & that I was not having any contractions because the machine said so & I didn't have to worry about what I was feeling or not feeling.  Even when I was having contractions I did not know so I either have a stronger pain tolerance or just don't even notices these small things so having the machine was a nice back up so that I didn't have to worry if I was feeling the wrong thing,
Now that the weekend was over I needed to get a hold of work & go over everything with my boss & HR & then call disability & figure everything out now & get the ball rolling for coverage at work & then anything I was working on that I was in the middle of.  Normally I am not worried about that stuff at all but I was finishing up a big inventory project & I had my teams reviews I was trying to complete this week so I had all this stuff done early - now I didn't have today to finish this stuff like I planned so it is getting everything shuffled around now so whoever can finish up & back me up on anything else so nothing is missed or dropped.
Along with getting disability & work all set -Kaya has been really sick for the past couple of weeks.  She is doing much better & we had figured out some medicine that was helping her but still didn't have an exact answer from the vet as to what she has & what we needed to do going forward or was this something that we just get all taken care of & she is back to normal.  Well Dr. Meyer called me last week & I was going to call her back on Thursday & got busy at work so I was going to call her Friday morning since I was hone with the day off with Trey & get all the details.  So with everything that has happened we finally got back on the phone today with the vet to get the scoop thinking we were now in the clear since she was acting like her old self - unfortuneately that is not how the call went.  Kaya has COPD - Cronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.  This will be something that she never outgrows & will continue to bother her going forward so it is something that we are always going to have to watch & keep her on medicine going forward.  Ok this is not our week I take it.
So not only baby 2 but now we have to worry about Kaya & read up on her situation so we know how to keep her as healthy as possible.  Call it overload!  Lets just keep our fingers crossed that I have several weeks to read up about these 2 while I sit here in the hospital.
